Through volunteering, you will find challenging, enjoyable activities that will be both satisfying to you and of valuable service to others.
- Mended Hearts visitor program – Previous heart patients, who have become accredited visitors with the support of the hospital and clinics, serve heart patients by listening, sharing their experiences and empathizing with patients’ anxieties and concerns. Heart patients and families gain hope by meeting Mended Hearts visitors, who have survived heart disease and are healthy. Learn more >>
- No One Dies Alone - No One Dies Alone companions sit with patients who are passing away without family or friends available. Learn more >>
- Guest relations – Assist Guest Relations team with escorting and customer service for patients and visitors at the main information desk.
- Valet services – Assist valet staff members with assisting patients and visitors by collecting keys and providing customer service.
All volunteers are automatically members of the Community Hospital North and Community Heart and Vascular Auxiliary. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to coordinate fundraising opportunities to raise money to give back to the hospitals in the form of projects and equipment. Volunteer opportunities include involvement with the Auxiliary Board, as well as assisting with the fundraisers.
